We are seeking a hands-on HR professional skilled in multi-tasking, thinking creatively towards problem solving and who is an effective team player.

 

Responsibilities

The Human Resources Representative provides on-going operational support to the Human Resources Department and routinely works with all managers and the front line employee population. Recruitment process including collaboration with hiring managers, screening resumes, interviewing, reference checking and new hire orientations. Act as first point of contact to employees coming to the HR department with questions related to Company processes, HR paperwork, benefits, etc. Responsible for managing the disability process including communicating  policy to employees; processing paperwork and monitoring activity to ensure compliance with policy.Maintenance of all HR records, company handbook and forms. Coordinating company sponsored events (holiday party, summer picnic, employee motivational events)Performance Management -Assist with the annual performance review process, upkeep of job descriptions and corresponding salary bands.Assisting with and/or conducting supervisor training.Handle additional HR Special Project work, as needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of progressive Human Resources experience as a generalist.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field.PHR Certification considered a plusKnowledge of state/federal employment laws (including but not limited to ADA, ADEA, EEOC, COBRA, HIPAA, OSHA and FMLA).Exceptional written and verbal communication skillsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.Working knowledge of an HRIS system (Oracle is a plus)Ability to research and analyze data relevant to benefits and HR issues.Must be organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to handle multiple duties with limited supervision.
