Help Desk Support - attitude more important than experience; expand your skills on growing IT team
If you have solid computer savvy, a passion for solving IT challenges, and a willingness to learn, this position offers you the opportunity to expand your skills and broaden your experience. In fact, your attitude is more important than your experience level; we will provide you with extensive ongoing training not only in help desk support but in other IT areas as well. You'll join an exciting, growing company that that takes a positive, upbeat, team-oriented approach to success. Working in the education field is always rewarding, but this is a particularly exciting time -- the entire publishing industry is moving toward various electronic media, and you'll help us adopt new technologies and platforms.
You'll provide the first level of support to employees around the country with regard to desktops, laptops, printers, and Blackberry devices. To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have a two-year degree or similar certification in computer science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. We're looking for a customer service oriented individual with solid communication and interpersonal skills. You also will need to be well organized and able to handle multiple projects with shifting priorities. In addition you'll need to truly enjoy taking on and resolving challenges. A bachelor's degree is a plus.
Today a leading global publisher of educational materials, TCM was founded in 1977 by two classroom teachers looking to share their ideas and enthusiasm with their colleagues. We continue to outclass the competition in many parts of the world, publishing quality-research based educational books and materials in all curricular areas for teachers and students at all grade and skill levels. Privately and family owned since its conception, TCM is still run by teachers for teachers, and that will never change.
