Exhibit Sales Representative - Nightclub & Bar Trade Show

Identifies the sales opportunities for assigned trade shows, generates market information for potential advertisers, contributes to research efforts and prepares reports as requested.  While performing the essential functions of the position the Sales Representative has extensive contact with customers, manufacturers, vendors and other industry contacts and specialists. This position has regular contact with the Group Director, Show Manager, and other sales staff.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

o  Telemarket past and prospective suppliers for exhibit space in upcoming shows

o  Generates direct sales from cold calling and follow up calling

o  Complete processing of contracts for invoicing purposes

o  Fulfill all client requests with sales collaterals in a timely manner

o  Maintain, update, utilizes and augment Goldmine database for all client contact and scheduling

o  Face to face meetings at client offices as needed

o  Attend competitive trade shows to sell current clients and prospects

o  Performs research in the marketplace developing lists of new prospects and lists of existing accounts for follow-up purposes

o  Identify top clients for potential sponsorship packages and up-sell opportunities

o  Sell marketing promotion opportunities (banners, lanyards, directory ads, etc.)

o  Assign and manage exhibit space allocation on the floor plan

o  Manage consolidation process and final show floor plans

o  Travel as required

o  Provide customer service to all accounts as required

o  Maintain an average of 50 outgoing calls per day and (30 completed calls)

o  Prepares summary activity reports detailing account contacts, product, competitive and market information via Salesforce database.

o  Proficient in word and excel, PowerPoint

 

RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

o  College degree

o  3-5 years sales experience preferably in exposition sales
