Engineering Consultant III-Bo
The Engineering Consultant III provides technical advice, consultation and solutions to other Océ North America employees or customers when addressing installations, testing, upgrades or malfunctions in product capabilities or offering modified or new equipment/applications for meeting customer requirements. The degree of consultation and support ranges from regional to national.
Specific responsibilities: Provides solutions as a recognized expert in digital color printing Creates unique applications to resolve complex problems during either or all pre- and/or post-installation diagnostics and troubleshooting Researches and develops solutions with national scope Defines requirements for products/software maintenance and new product releases Creates documents and inputs updated technical information to maintain a database on functionality and history of product offerings Advise and consult on software issues, requirements analysis, compatibility review, added value support, installation and training
Qualifications: A Bachelor degree in applied science or directly related work experience that equates to a four-year college degree A minimum of 5 years experience in a color applications support role, or in a directly related work environment Acknowledged technical expert in at least two disciplines that are directly applicable to Océ Digital Document Systems products and services, including vendor products and peripherals Technical certifications such as A+, Network + or Windows NT desired Ability to organize and plan projects of significant scope and impact Act with dedication to the overall team success Ability to understand complex configurations Experienced in Color printing environments, color workflow analysis and color pre-flighting skills (product knowledge such as Adobe CS3, Quark, Imageready, PitStop, Acrobat, OneVision, CREO, SCITEX, EFI, etc.)
