Editor/Reporter
The Diamond District News is an established monthly trade publication that covers the news and business of the diamond and jewelry industry in the New York metro area. It has a circulation of 18,000 and is considered a “must read” by our committed readership.
We are seeking a savvy, entrepreneurial Editor/Reporter for our publication. You will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations and developing a long-range growth plan for the DDN. A robust website is currently in-production. Your talent and content would be an important part of it.
Our Editor/Reporter is responsible for the full production cycle of The Diamond District News. You will be responsible for building and maintaining contacts in the jewelry industry, conducting interviews and have the ability to identify newsworthy events. Daily responsibilities include: story generation, writing, editing, spot photography and layout.
The qualified candidate for this position will have 5+ years of experience reporting for deadline. You must be a self motivated individual who has strong reporter instincts and the entrepreneurial desire to grow our publication. BA/BS is required. Experience with Adobe InDesign is desired.
This is a unique opportunity to leverage your editing and reporting skills.

This position is based at our offices adjacent to Rockefeller Center in midtown Manhattan.
