Position Description:The project editor will be responsible for editing project materials through all phases to ensure accuracy and adherence to guidelines and prototypes, to maintain all schedules, and to function as an effective team member for the Language Arts/Social Studies department. Knowledge of phonics insruction and teaching experience in K-3 preferred. Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Supplemental Publishers produces affordable, curriculum-based supplemental resources for students and teachers in grades pre-K through 12, as well as for parents and homeschoolers. With offerings in the core curriculum areas of reading, language arts, math, and science. Supplemental Publishers also creates programs designed to meet specific initiatives such as summer school, afterschool, intervention, test prep, and ESL.Qualifications:BA degree in Education or related field required. 2-3 years of editorial experience required. Teaching experience preferred. Knowledgeable about appropriate pedagogy, current curriculum, and classroom practice.
