DescriptionVertis communications is looking for a motivated self-starter to be part of our Data Services team. This position will provide you with a great opportunity to gain experience in newspaper media. Your main objective is to focus on the continual acquisition and updating/creation of print media products in our proprietary database. You will become familiar with other functional areas within Vertis Media by interacting with employees from the various departments. As the Data Coordinator you will provide input to the creation and evolution of standard operating procedures to facilitate the changing operating environment for all areas and levels as it relates to database updates and other responsibilities of the Data department. You will become an expert in providing detailed analysis of newspaper, direct mail, and other product geographic boundary information utilizing Atlas GIS mapping software and in-house data entry utilities. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or Business or a combination of work experience in print media, data entry or related field is acceptable. Additional requirements are as follows: High level of attention to detail. Good written and  verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Familiarity with personal computer hardware and business software, including email, word processing and data spreadsheets. Knowledge of GIS software and experience with databases would certainly be a plus.
