Corporate Express, a Staples company, is looking for a Print Account Representative.RESPONSIBILITIESThis position is accountable for the sale of CEDPM products and services which may include stock and custom business forms, pressure sensitive Information Systems and Product Identification labels, e-business solutions, computer supplies and direct mail products and services within an assigned territory, while meeting or exceeding sales goals established for the territory. The position must ensure the development of unsold or undersold accounts and promote a total account philosophy to current and prospective accounts, thereby contributing to long-term growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This represents the first position of potential progression in the Sales Career Path Program from Account Representative to Account Executive to Senior Account Executive.1. Make contacts with established customers through an organized call plan or territorial coverage program.2. Research and develop potential new accounts and develop a strategy for selling them profitably.3. Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of CEDPM products and services in order to effectively prepare proposals and sell a total account philosophy provided by the Company.4. Develop and maintain excellent customer and prospect relations through timely follow-up of customer questions/concerns, system-selling techniques, and by following the highest standards of business ethics.5. Remain abreast of how products and services impact customers and prepare recommendations to Director of Sales for new customer business solutions.6. Advise customers of market trends, industry changes and possible product applications and services for specific business functions to maintain/increase market share and profitability.7. Prepare order specifications to provide instructions for manufacturing plants on all customer orders to ensure accurate and timely service.8. Assist in the collection of delinquent accounts within the assigned territory.9. Maintain accurate records on customers and prospects’ key management, products, and plans. QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION B.S./B.A. degree or 2+ years experience as a Company Customer Service Representative or 1-2 years business selling experience combined with at least 2 years of college study required. B.S./B.A. degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or Graphic Arts with strong academic achievement preferredEXPERIENCE Two or more years of consultative business selling experience including knowledge of sales / marketing techniques required. 2-3 years business forms or pressure sensitive label selling background preferred.SKILLS •Very high integrity level. •Highly developed interpersonal skills. •Good presentation skills. •Personal computer skills for business applications. •Ability to meet the challenge of selling on a day-to-day basis. •Ability to focus on multiple tasks. •Strong work ethic and stamina to work long hours as needed. •Professionalism in appearance and demeanor. •Strong sense of organization for time and territory responsibilities. •Problem solving/analytical skills. •Ability to work independently. •Ability to relate to customer needs and services. •Detail oriented. •Creative ability.
