Louise Blouin Media’s lifestyle-oriented website ARTINFO.com, is the online destination for our renowned art magazines Art+Auction,Modern Painters, Culture+Travel, Gallery Guide and our auctions pricing tool, the Art Sales Index. ARTINFO is the digital realization of our brands–extending the strength and excellence of our editorial voice online. We are currently seeking a candidate for a CSS web developer on a part-time freelance basis to join our team.

 

The CSS Web Developer works closely with the Creative Director, Designers, and Information Architect to help realize the look and feel of the brands of our magazines to the digital online space. She/he also engages with the editorial teams to help define and implement web standards and custom templates for content related requirements, serving as a liaison between designers and content producers.

 

The ideal candidate has at least three years professional web experience and a solid understanding of W3C Standards creating hand-coded XHTML and CSS2. She/he must have a focus on user experience and the latest trends in accessibility, a standards activist who is detail-oriented, writes clean portable code, and has a proficiency in implementing UI designs by way of a cross-browser approach (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari). 

 

The successful candidate is an enthusiastic, team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and work within tight deadlines. Experience with JavaScriptor Flash is a plus.
