COPY EDITOR, Soap Opera Digest
FUNCTIONS: Soap Opera Digest, America's top soap magazine, has an exciting opportunity for a talented Copy Editor to join our team of dedicated soap lovers. We are looking for a multitasker with strong copy editing skills, exceptional eye for detail, and ability to meet tight weekly deadlines. Key Responsibilities include:· Work on articles for a weekly soap magazine, Soap Opera Digest, and twice-monthly web site copy· Edit copy for accuracy, content, grammar, style and spelling· Keep tabs on status of articles to completion· Communicate/work with members of other departments (art, photo, production), as necessary· Other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:· Bachelors degree in English, Journalism or related field required· 1-2 years of experience in copy editing KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:· Attention to detail and good organizational skills· Positive attitude and ability to work well with tight weekly deadlines· Proficient computer skills: QPS and Mac experience a plus.· Interest in soaps and daytime TV a plus ABOUT SOURCE INTERLINK MEDIA SOURCE INTERLINK MEDIA is a division of SOURCE INTERLINK COMPANIES, Inc., a media and marketing services company.
