FUNCTIONS: Soap Opera Digest, America's top soap magazine, has an exciting opportunity for a talented Copy Editor to join our team of dedicated soap lovers. We are looking for a multitasker with strong copy editing skills, exceptional eye for detail, and ability to meet tight weekly deadlines. Key Responsibilities include:Â· Work on articles for a weekly soap magazine, Soap Opera Digest, and twice-monthly web site copyÂ· Edit copy for accuracy, content, grammar, style and spellingÂ· Keep tabs on status of articles to completionÂ· Communicate/work with members of other departments (art, photo, production), as necessaryÂ· Other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Â· Bachelors degree in English, Journalism or related field requiredÂ· 1-2 years of experience in copy editing KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Â· Attention to detail and good organizational skillsÂ· Positive attitude and ability to work well with tight weekly deadlinesÂ· Proficient computer skills: QPS and Mac experience a plus.Â· Interest in soaps and daytime TV a plus ABOUT SOURCE INTERLINK MEDIA SOURCE INTERLINK MEDIA is a division of SOURCE INTERLINK COMPANIES, Inc., a media and marketing services company.
