Bindery Supervisor

  This position is for you if you have hardback bookbinding experience, want a day shift position with a good stable company, good pay and relocation package.



  Premier union-free printing company is looking for a 1st shift supervisor.  In addition to leading the bindery operations, the supervisor will be responsible for quality, productivity, employe recognition and discipline, meeting budget expectations, production process improvements, training and safety.  This is a day shift position, with some involvement on off-shifts as necessary to communicate and/or address productivity, quality or profitability concerns.  The company is a well run, profitable operation with good employee relations and working environment.  Equipment consists of gathering, sewing or perfect binding, gluing, trimming and book binding finishing operations.





Qualified Applicants Must Have:At least 5 years experience as a Bindery Department-Level Manager (managing a supervisory staff) in a large printing plant Must have a full understanding and experience with hardback case book binding Track record of promotions and profitable operations Strong demonstrated leadership ability tempered with good employee relations skills Good stable work history Excellent written and oral communications Good computer administrative skills Some post-high school education and process improvement education/skills are strong pluses
