Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Auditor in our New York corporate headquarters. Random House has a strong promote from within environment. The successful candidates will likely have future assignments outside of the Risk and Auditing Department to increase their knowledge of the business and to build on their skill set.
Your tasks
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with demonstrated success in identifying business risk and exposure, evaluating internal controls, and recommending practical solutions that management can implement efficiently and effectively.
The department is responsible for internal control, audit, insurance, acquisition due diligence and various special projects. Audit responsibilities include both traditional scheduled audits and continuous auditing based on audit software applications. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, planning and performing audits, aiding in the development of internal controls, assisting in insurance renewals and participating in acquisition due diligence.
Our requirements
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years related auditing experience, including documenting auditing systems. You must possess an intuitive sense and organizational skills, as well as the ability to interview and develop strong interpersonal relationships with people. Solid analytical skills, a must.
Other requirements include a four year accounting degree, basic knowledge of international accounting standards. An advanced knowledge of EXCEL; experience with audit software, and either a CPA or CIA.
Insurance and Risk experience helpful.
