Assistant Editor & eMedia Coordinator
Chemical Engineering, the leading, technical information resource in the chemical process industries for 106 years, has an immediate opening for an Assistant Editor & eMedia Coordinator in its New York offices. Responsibilities include writing news items and editing outside-authored technical manuscripts for the magazine and Website. Meanwhile, the position will expressly focus on coordinating the organization's eMedia projects such as eNewsletters, Webinars and Microsites. The qualified candidate will:Have an interest in eMedia platforms such as Websites, eNewsletters, Webinars, podcasts, Microsites and blogs Have excellent project management skills, including organization, attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple tasks with ease Work effectively under deadline pressure Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills
Opportunities for travel to industry related events in the U.S. and elsewhere are included.
Qualifications:Writing and professional engineering experience are advantageous A degree in Chemical Engineering is preferred. Applicants without a Chemical Engineering degree, but with strong technical writing experience in the chemical process industries will be considered
