Our new, but rapidly growing global packaing company is currently seeking an Accountant to join our Accounting department located in Danville, VA. This is a position for a quick learner with aptitude to perform an array of accounting functions. This is not a “production line� accounting position.  We primarily have low volume, high dollar, complex transactions.

 

This person will perform Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and various other General Accounting functions. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Audit and enter AP, AR and PO information into Accounting System (Great Plains-Dynamics). Assist in maintaining inventory control system. Perform AR collections. Coordinate sales orders and purchase orders to customers and suppliers.   Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations, profitability analysis & accounting functions as assigned.

 

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

BS in Accounting required. Excellent computer skills including Excel/Word. Superior organizational skills. Great Plains – Dynamics or similar accounting software and/or ADP experience helpful, but not required. HR experience also a plus.
