ASP.NET Web Developer (Regular full-time)

 

Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of all aspects of the Super Duper® Web site, to effectively promote and market the company’s products and process orders in the most efficient way possible.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of current eCommerce technology for the Company’s Web site, including: Development of dynamic web pages and services utilizing current database technology Expert knowledge of the following: ASP.NET 2.0 (Visual Basic), JavaScript, XHTML/HTML, SQL Server 2005, T-SQL, and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Knowledge or familiarity with the following is a plus: Web Analytics/Reporting, .NET Web Services, XML, XSL, CSS, Web Standards/Accessibility, Classic ASP 3.0, Flash 9 Professional, ActionScript 2.0,  Dreamweaver 9, and Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft IIS, Windows Server 2003 Custom shopping cart software Simplifying maintenance procedures for making content updates to the website Securing entire Web site and databases from potential threats such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting, and hackers Evaluate performance of Web site hardware/software and make recommendations to Management as appropriate Provide internal and customer support relating to website Responsible for establishing connections and integrating with multiple databases and technologies Monitoring and reporting performance on web usage as requested Responsible for the analysis of data as requested Assist in other areas of ASP, ASP.NET, VB.NET, SQL Server, or Flash software development (act as internal resource for wider company needs, such as help in development of online and Flash based interactive CD-ROMs for CEU courses) Maintain a customer responsive attitude and posture at all times Responsible for such other duties as may be delegated by Management

Position Requirements:

  Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field 3+ years experience in eCommerce or session management, including experience with ASP.NET 2.0, XML, XSL, Javascript, XHTML/HTML, SQL Server and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Solid experience in MS operating systems (Especially Server 2003 with IIS experience) Experience in financial transactions, including shopping carts, conducted over the internet Strong documentation background Proficiency in SQL Server database applications, implementation, maintenance, security, stored procedures, user-defined functions, views, and optimization Proficiency in establishing connections to multiple databases Strong analytical ability and excellent interpersonal skills This is a hands-on position that will produce the Web pages, back-end functionality, database objects, and data to help expand Super Duper’s Web presence to meet current and future needs
