A/R Collections Clerk

Summary:
2 years, collection experience; knowledge of basic accounting (DR/CR); understanding of A/R functions; computer experience.
Job Description: Make collection calls to customers beyond credit terms for payment Review, recommend and process accounts to be sent to collections Administer claims process for bankruptcies Attend credit and collection related meetings, provide feedback Generate and maintain relationship with customers Research, troubleshoot and resolve account credits and discrepancies Process/ post customer payments and other daily cash receipts Accounts Payable cross training/ back up Other accounting departmental duties and projectsÂ
Qualifications: Basic computer skills and experienced with standard business software( i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) Understanding of basic accounting principles Good verbal and written communication skills Strong customer service and negotiating skills Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
