Wellness Coordinator

Regis also maintains ownership interests in Empire Education Group and various other salon concepts such as Cool Cuts 4 Kids, and the Beauty Takashi and Beauty Plaza concepts in Japan. Regis also maintains a 49 percent ownership interest in Intelligent Nutrients, a partnership that provides a wide variety of certified organic products for health and beauty.
Wellness Coordinator
Summary:
The Wellness Program Coordinator works in conjunction with the Wellness Program Administrator to provide a health promotion program that focuses on worksite interventions that encourage and support healthier living. He/she will coordinate the continuous development and implementation of the Regis Corporation wellness program. This position reports directly to the Manager – Benefits & HRIS and indirectly to the Director - Health and Welfare Benefits.
Responsibilities:Maintain existing elements of the corporate wellness program that focus on disease prevention, health risk identification, health education, and fitness. Manage select wellness related initiatives and serve as a role model for healthy living.Encourage group fitness, which may include teaching group exercise classes or managing relationships with external exercise instructors.Manage groups of various sizes, including the company Emergency Response Team. Coordinate and facilitate group meetings and assign/perform follow-up tasks as needed. Execute special projects for the Health and Welfare Benefits Department.Maintain an effective communication strategy with the employee population including: employee meetings or seminars, brochures, company intranet, company emails, newsletters and articles.Partner and collaborate with executives, managers, local and field employees, and the Regis Onsite Clinic staff.Plan, promote, and execute special events, including health screenings, health fairs, community involvement, etc.Identify best practices, new trends and employee needs in health promotion. Attend workshops, seminars and/or training sessions periodically to gather new insight and information for program improvement.Track program participation, feedback and outcomes for ROI calculation.
Requirements:
· BA/BS degree in health education/health promotion or a related field.
· Advanced training/education in health promotion, public health, fitness/nutrition, and/or other health related topics.
· At least 2 years health promotion experience in a Corporate environment.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Group exercise instruction experience and certification a plus.
· Passion for worksite health promotion and overall wellness.
· Strong experience with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Publisher.
· Solutions and results oriented, proven leader, change agent, and effective in a collaborative, team environment.
