Sr. Systems Analyst
Summary
The Sr. Systems Analyst will provide technical leadership, level 1-3 helpdesk support and expertise related to all operational aspects of the company’s communication network infrastructure. Ensure that the infrastructure operates optimally, meets current and future business needs and promote enterprise-wide interoperability. Will be responsible for maintaining the ongoing operational functionality of the local area and wide area network, which consists of, but is not limited to devices such as switches, routers, firewalls and wireless controllers/access points. Support and troubleshoot PC’s, printers and components of Business Applications; work with multiple third party providers; and assist in the day-to-day support of the company’s infrastructure. Assist in operational and maintenance activities related to servers, remote management, telephony equipment and software at our corporate location as well as other remote locations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide technical direction and leadership to the business and the Information Technology team. Plan, install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade applications and systems. Investigate, evaluate & recommend appropriate network management tool technologies, products and services to ensure effective management of the company’s network.Research, plan, install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade hardware and software, including desktop peripherals. Order and configure networking equipment.Analyze and evaluate present or proposed business procedures or problems to define data processing and bandwith needs. Prepare detailed flow charts and diagrams outlining systems capabilities and processes. Research and recommend hardware and software development, purchase, and use. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems, including user access and component configuration. Conduct technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with current system.
REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree in computer science or a related disciplineThree to five years of programming and/or system analysis experience Thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Office environment, Dell PC’s, Lifesize Video Conference, Citrix, Microsoft Server 2003, Microsoft SQL 2005, Dell Poweredge servers, Cisco ASA’s and VOIP telephony (preferably ShoreTel)Demonstrated experience in determining the nature of computer hardware and systems software problems, and communicating technical guidance and instruction to users Ability to learn and support new hardware, software and operating systemsThe following are not required, but would be a strong plus to have: MCSE, MCP, A+ Certifications and/or other technical certifications; Micros Fidelio; Spectrum NG; Great Plains; FRx; Nolan; Salomon; Software Index; Kronos; Salesforce; Kwiktag,; and/or Iron MountainFlexibility to work evenings and weekends, if necessary, in response to business and system needsUp to 30% travel is required to support remote locations
