We also are looking for someone who can teach beginning to intermediate guitar AND piano. You do not need to be a concert virtuoso. This is a fun job with a creative, upbeat attitude.Our teachers come from various backgrounds. Though some are studying or have degrees in Music many come from different areas: from Philosophy to English, Biology to Dance and more! No matter what their degree or course of study they have all played, practiced and loved music as a treasured part of their lives.No prior teaching experience is necessary. We specialize in encouraging creative self-discovery and expression in students and teachers alike. New teachers go through a fun, inspiring and invaluable training program in a world-class leading edge methodology. (A unique teachers kit full of a variety of teaching props, tools, and over 600 pages of original games, creative lesson books, activities and more.) * You will be a part of a supportive, creative community of artists, academics and working/gigging Philadelphia area musicians. * We take care of everything relating to your booking of students and initial scheduling, as well as recital/show management. * Pay is compensated at a base rate of $28.66 (with any college degree) per teaching hour. * You will be paid as a W-2 Employee. We take care of all of your tax witholdings. * We have monthly teaching community meetings with free food, lively discussions and presentations on compelling topics and new teaching materials.
