TheStreet.com is seeking a Graphic Designer for its multimedia Web site.

 

Responsibilities:

 Work with editors and reporters to shape ideas into graphics and determine how to illustrate news stories visually. Create news graphics, banners, feature graphics, slideshows and other promotional elements.Illustrate stories with original art; assist with photo selection and editing.Edit charts and tables to fit within article space on Internet pages.Create charts and static graphic collages for video production.

Qualifications:

 BA/BS. Strong interpersonal skills.Multitasking ability.High level of proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Microsoft Office programs (knowledge of Homesite, Flash, and Actionscript a plus).Expertise with valid, semantic, hand-coded HTML/XHTML.Experience with compatibility/cross-platform and browser designs.Work with editors and reporters to shape ideas into graphics and determine how to illustrate news stories visually.
