Description
JUMP RHYTHM JAZZ PROJECT is a company of rhythmically exuberant dancers that celebrates the timeless core of all jazz performance -- dancing and singing in swinging, high-energy bursts of body rhythms to the beat-driven sounds of syncopated music. Since its founding by artistic director Billy Siegenfeld in 1990, the company has thrilled audiences and students nationally and internationally with its rich blend of percussive musicality and emotion-charged dance theatre.
Jump Rhythm is seeking equally exuberant and enthusiastic people to help lead the company administratively! We are looking for self-driven individuals who are detail-oriented; who are fantastic communicators; who want to work with an exciting group of artists; and who are visionary leaders both able to work independently and as a team with the board, artistic directors, and dancers. We are also looking for people who can adapt easily and are able to take constructive criticism and move forward with the task at hand.
The Executive Director will be responsible for all aspects of JRJP. The ED will lead the development of a strategic growth plan for JRJP working with the Artistic Director, Board of Directors and oversee the Company Manager activities. In addition, the ED will lead the financial planning process and drive development efforts.
Responsibilities:Strategic Planning Work with the Board of Directors to develop a strategic plan to grow JRJP into a high performing concert dance company and preeminent source of dance education Lead the implementation of the strategy necessary for long term growth and sustainability Develop an overall human capital strategy Hire and oversee performance of company manager whose job will be to support/lead the company operations, marketing and development of JRJP artistic activities Oversee JRJP’s operational functions including: accounting, human resources, contract management, compliance, etc. Lead the development of JRJP’s financial projections to support the recommended growth plan
Requirements
Qualifications:3-5 years management/development experience Bachelor`s degree or equivalent A high level of enthusiasm for Dance, The Arts, and Not for Profit work
