SUMMARY:
The Vice President, Contract Services is responsible for the day to day operations of the Commercial Services Division and reports directly to the President/CEO. Primary responsibilities include the procurement of new contracts, administration and oversight of new and existing operations of Commercial Services. The Vice President acts as liaison between Goodwill Industries International, NISH and Government and Private Sector Contract Agencies as they relate to Contracts. The Vice President also keeps abreast of new developments to enhance current operations and new opportunities for growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-Prepares the annual budget for each area of responsibility for the President/CEO?s approval.
-Participates in setting of Long Range goals and develops annual divisional goals in correlation to long range plans
-Responsible for financial results of division.
-Responsible for the successful operation of all Contract Services.
-Responsible for the development and procurement of new Contract Services.
-Maintains a good working rapport with Government and Procurement customers as well as all regulatory agencies with whom we are required to partner with.
-Performs/participates in periodic evaluations and disciplinary reviews of subordinate management personnel.
-Keep abreast of updates in compliance issues to ensure the agency remains compliant. This includes but is not limited to OSHA, CARF, DOL NISH & the
Presidents Committee.
- Prepares reports for and attends Board of Director?s meetings as required.
- Conducts meetings/training for immediate staff.
- Recruits and hires secondary level management personnel.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization?s policies and procedures, contract requirements and all applicable federal and state laws.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must have a proven track record in negotiation, administering and operating both federal and private sector contracts in a cost effective manner. He/she must have the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to lead and supervise individuals at all levels. Working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws required. Ability to negotiate multimillion dollar contracts. Ability to prepare, and implement budgets and long range plans. Ability to work with little or no supervision. Ability to work effectively in a teaming environment. Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be multi-task oriented. Must be able to function effectively in a fast paced environment. Must have the ability to successfully pass a background check.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor degree in business or related field and at least ten years experience and proven record of accomplishment in commercial services in a senior level position. Experience in working with people with disabilities a plus.
