VP Online Product Management

We have been retained to help one of our clients find a V.P. Product Management Corporate Products for their headquarters in the greater NYC area.

Our client is a leading provider of financial content on line. In addition, it licenses market news, data, investment analysis tools and online applications to financial services firms and internet service providers. The company continues to be a leader in its category and continues to innovate new and faster means of delivering its services.

The chosen candidate will own the product strategy for the B2B corporate products. He/she will be responsible for creating and maintaining the work programs that execute on the strategy. We are seeking an individual who not only is a good strategist but also has experience bringing substantial web properties (B2B or B2C) on-line. He/she will have a blend of technology “savvy� and product management skills.

Following are just some of the essential job functions: Drive the success of the Corporate Products business by working within each business area, as well as across the business areas.Create and maintain the Corporate Products strategy, aligned with business and financial objectives and considering all aspects of the product / offering lifecycle.Create and maintain the Corporate Products work program to execute on the strategy. Provide oversight to ensure project/program plans are being adhered to, and where issues arise engage the appropriate parties to resolve issues and adjust plans ad deliverables as necessary.Ensure project/product engineering plans created by the respective department peer leaders adhere to key planning processes and standards and include well-defined plan milestones, deliverables, and metrics consistent with Technology commitments to other internal organizations. Interact with Technology’s Leadership and other CTS departmental managers (e.g., Product Development, Marketing, Sales) to drive successful program deliveries.The ideal candidate will have: Experience in Global Product Management.Experience in developing or marketing online contentSuccess assisting/managing projects/programs through effective communication, collaboration, shared goals, and trust. Track record of managing projects/programs of real or virtual teams while providing oversight of geographically dispersed projects/programs is essential. Demonstrated strengths in communications, risk management, conflict resolution skills working in a team environment and mentoring team members. Self-motivated and goal oriented with attention to detail.Highly reliable, responsible, and accountable for group and individual goals. Minimum BA/BS with 10 years in engineering, product marketing, or product management experienceThis is a senior position within a fast growing organization.
