Currently, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the Utilities Asset Team for our Everett, WA location. Summary: Candidate will take a lead role as the Utilities Mechanical Asset Engineer for five large scale industrial boilers and be responsible for daily machine monitoring and troubleshooting, as well as development and implementation of improvements to existing utilities machinery. Provides guidance in the design, development, optimization, and operation of industrial boiler processes. The candidate should have technical expertise across multiple boiler technologies and have demonstrated ability to effectively interface with all team members (Utilities Asset support team, Utilities Asset team leadership, Utilities maintenance team and the Utilities operations team). Responsibilities 1) Lead various product or process improvement projects from conception to commercialization (up to $5 million). 2) Provide functional leadership and creativity in the initiation, design, development and optimization of Utilities equipment and Boiler processes to meet unit objectives. 3) Develop knowledge and skills in application of engineering principles, scientific analysis, and project management. 4) Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines. Provide for the safety and well being of operators, maintenance and other personnel. 5) Seek, recognize, define and solve problems/ opportunities to achieve unit objectives. Identify complex technical issues to determine root cause. Initiate, design, optimize and develop manufacturing and supporting processes.Click here to apply via the Kimberly Clark Career Opportunity PortalJob Experience:Qualifications 1) Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant scientific discipline. 2) 3+ years of experience in a variety of engineering assignments as an individual contributor.Preferred Qualifications 1) 3+ years experience in Utilities and large scale boiler operations, including technology understanding and development, and translation to executing process and capacity improvements on major capital projects. 2) 3 + years of boiler support and process improvement experience with Utilities processes. 3) 3 + years experience with Woodwaste (hogfuel), Pulp Mill Recovery, and natural gas fired boilers. 4) Professional Engineer (PE License) Other1) Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, National Boiler Inspection Code, and other codes as they relate to Utilities operations, including understanding and development, and translation to executing process and capacity improvements on capital projects2) Ability to work independently or lead a team to complete projects within required timeframes. 3) Demonstrated leadership in achieving resultsMinimum Education Required: BachelorYears of Experience Required: More than 5 yearsExpected Travel Time: About 25%This company may offer relocation assistance.
