User Experience Analyst
User Experience Analyst
The User Experience Analyst works with internal customers to articulate user experience requirements and to develop commercial-grade graphical and textual user interface prototypes for multinational software products.
Key Responsibilities
-Help define the user interface for new and existing web and desktop applications.
-Work with Business Customers, Project Managers, Business Analysts and Technical Leads to develop high level and/or detailed storyboards, mockups and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
-Produces user experience concepts and prototypes for all web and desktop applications.
-Works closely with software development during all phases of implementation and test to ensure that user experience requirements are met in the final product.
-Participate in User Acceptance Testing.
-Establish user interface standards, guidelines and direction to ensure consistent user experience across products.
-Employ a user centered design approach to create user experiences that are intuitive, effective, flexible, and well received by users.
-Review user interface designs to ensure a consistent, high quality, effective user experience across company systems.
-Maintain an awareness of current industry and company user interface standards and trends.
-Assure visual design supports corporate and organizational visual design and brand standards, where applicable.
10% Travel required.
Skills
-Experience gathering user centered requirements.
-Knowledge of graphical and textual user interface and usability design in browser-based and desktop environments.
-Knowledge of design concepts and approaches for multi-language products.
-Knowledge of usability evaluation methods.
-Ability to communicate and translate requirements to programmers.
-Strong visual design sense.
-Experience in user centered design approach.
-Experience with a range of rapid prototyping tools and approaches.
-Excellent analytical ability, especially with regard to observation of user behavior.
-Must be dependable and able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week on site during regular business hours.
Education and Experience
BS (MS/(PhD a plus) in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science, or related field.
Seven to ten (7-10) years experience in interface design and/or software usability.
