Fidelity Investment Management Technology (FIMT) runs a PMO that oversees a significant portfolio of discretionary and tactical development work. This portfolio includes both infrastructure and application development programs that total to over $250M in spend in the coming years. The FIMT PMO Relationship Manager will manage the overall relationship between the PMO and the FIMT project teams support the Asset Management Advisor organizations. This job includes:
Monitoring major development work, regularly review project plans, progress, issues
Providing commentary and analysis for senior management communications
Helping project teams and managers identify issues, escalating where appropriate and providing issue resolution management by working with HR, Finance, project team and other stakeholders.
Aggressively drive the annual budget and planning cycle with the FIMT teams and the Advisors
Headquartered in the US, the FIMT PMO is global in scope and has oversight responsibility for programs in India as well as the US.

Primary Responsibilities
Contribute to the construction and the continuous improvement of the FIMT PMO. Help to define and implement best practices, reporting/communication needs, tools, and engagement models - all of which are currently being considered for refinement and/or redefinition if appropriate.
Managing the relationship between the PMO and FIMT technoloty teams serving an advisor. Support the leaders of these FIMT technology teams as they deliver major programs - objetive insight, risk identification and mitigation, support with communications, issue escalation and management, analysis and commentary on base project data, and other as appropriate. The objective is to be a value added partner to the project teams as they work to deliver projects and sucessfully manage their clients.
Serve as a PMO focal point of contact for the FIMT delivery teams
Represent the Entire Portfolio of FIMT services, including development, production support and infrastructure.
Assist project team as needed in escalation of issues
Seek opportunities to provide best practices examples and learning's to project managers
Encourage the PMs to invest in building a mutually beneficial relationship
Balance the goal of Fulfilling near term FIMT delivery needs with the strategic goal of the PMO to build a more mature, standardized delivery capability.
Promote Standard Project and Portfolio Maangement process adoption and ensure compliance
Work with the teams to define/coordinate project staffing plans and resource demand
Communicate regularly with both IT and Fidelity senior leadership: written, presentation, verbal
Support technology investment committee request definition and approval process
Manage relationships with FIMT technology teams, understanding their needs and presenting the PMO's capabilities and direction
Provide support while working with the core systems - time tracking, project, financial planning, portfolio and project reporting, other.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

BS/BA Degree
Strong experience with systems integration projects from both a contracting and planning/execution perspective.
Strong experience with structured software development. Experience with agile development is a plus.
Strong understanding of technology budget planning and strategy development
Experience with analysis, tracking, and managing project staffing plans, and budget changes
Experience with developing/reviewing business cases to help with the executive technology investment decision making processes
Knowledge of working with third party market for IT labor skills, including offshore
Experience with developing and managing business relationships
Experience with software project goverence structure and review process.

Skills and Knowledge

Comfortable in new environments, not fully established
Experience with Project and Portfolio Management tools like MS Project and HP PPMC
Proven executive ability to balance efficiency and effectiveness
Excellent communication skills, written, presentation, oral negotiation skills
Ability to manage senior leader relationships
Sucessful track record of delivering on business objectives and meeting metric tragets
Demnostrated professional maturity
Knowledge of contracting, negotiating and organizational change management
Ability to simultaneously manage diverse set of initiatives/issues
