Training and Development Officer
SUMMARY
Develops, plans, coordinates, supports, and facilitates employee training and development programs for stakeholders employed by Camden National Corporation and its subsidiaries.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Responsible for developing, managing and facilitating (with members for the HRD team) a comprehensive employee development program that addresses leadership development, management development and general stakeholder development. Assists in the development and facilitation of various other HRD classes and program. Coordinates the tracking of training and certificate programs using the HRB system, works with the department to assist in talent identification, development and succession planning. Works with the HRD analyst to measure performance of programs and reports to the department and management on metrics including ROI. Works directly with Training and Development Officer to introduce and develop courses associated with new products and other current education programs. Participates on committees as necessary and manages the training aspect of new initiatives. Attends seminars and stays informed on new developments, methods, and techniques in the training field. Manages costs and participates in the budgeting process. Ability to travel to different locations in the company on a frequent basis. Ability to work extended hours when requested on specified projects. Other duties as assigned.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). An ability to motivate and inspire others. An ability to assess the needs of the various constituencies served by the department and identify development tools that meet those needs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; two to five years related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
In addition to those mentioned above, an individual must be a skilled reader, analyzer, and interpreter of general business and training/education periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Proven skills to write reports, develop agendas, create training and education materials and manuals, prepare business correspondence, and develop procedure. Demonstrated ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

PC/SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE & SKILLSÂ
Extensive user knowledge of all computer applications including, but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, the Internet, or any other widely used software as obtained by the Bank.Â

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to explain and present developmental concepts, relying on data, research and reason.

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job including being required to talk, hear, stand, walk and/or sit for fairly long periods of time. The individual must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
