Job Description:This position can be located in either Owings Mills, Maryland or Colorado Springs, Colorado.PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITIONThe Training Consultant supports T. Rowe Price Operations (TRPO) and Retirement Plan Services (RPS) by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive training programs. The position consults and partners with assigned business units to assess needs, make recommendations and provide opportunities for knowledge and skill development of associates to enable them to be successful in their jobs.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES* Project Management – Through collaboration with multiple business units, leads and participates on training projects to support the organization. Interviews key stakeholders to define project goals. Manages and/or participates on project team and is responsible for timeline to ensure completion of project deliverables. Provides coaching and feedback to project team members. Identifies, communicates and resolves project issues and obstacles. Conducts needs assessment using a variety of techniques and analyzes the data to propose appropriate actions or interventions. Interprets business needs for training. Gathers and analyzes business requirements while interfacing with Marketing, Legal, Subject Matter Experts, Group Managers, and Supervisors in the business units to determine training needs for associates. Coordinates with Trainers to assess impacts to new hire training and oversees modifications.* Communication - Markets new initiatives/products including documenting and sending communications announcing new initiatives/products. Attends meetings with the business to plan appropriate communication strategies. * Evaluation – Produces and analyzes reports that reflect quantitative and qualitative results of training to assess its effectiveness. Identifies and implements new evaluation methods. Performs evaluations as a follow-up to roll-out; coaches and provides feedback to subject matter experts.* Facilitates training programs as needed.* Conducts course maintenance including reviewing and making enhancements to existing training based on user feedback.QUALIFICATIONS* 5+ years experience in training preferred* Masters Degree in Instructional Design preferred* Communication skills* Relationship building skills* Industry knowledge* Instructional design* Facilitation skills * Leadership skills* Consulting skills* Project management skills* Detail oriented* Negotiation skills* College degree and 1 year related work experience or a minimum of 5 years related work experience required.T.
