Upon initiation of work on this five-year program, you will join a team of professionals with varying disciplines for varying durations of assignment in Saudi Arabia. Positions include the following:INTERNATIONAL OPPORTUNITY: KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIAPosition: Traffic EngineerResponsibilities: Individuals in this position will perform the following activities:· Participate on a technical team of systems engineers, hardware/software engineers, network engineers, and similar disciplines.· Maintain understanding of the detailed technical requirements of the program, based on original client contract documents and each subcontractor’s agreed upon statement of work.· Using automated tools (such as the Rational tool suite), maintain tracing of program requirements with subcontractor system specifications and system test scripts.· Conduct reviews of subcontractor plans including designs, drawings, bills of materials, test scripts, and other such materials. In so doing, make comments and suggestions, and raise concerns or gaps in work being undertaken.· Plan, conduct, and document results from joint design reviews with subcontractors. Ensure results of, and changes from, joint design reviews are integrated back into work plans.· Participate as an observer in various activities conducted by the subcontractors such as field installation site surveys. In so doing, make comments and suggestions, and raise concerns or gaps in work being undertaken.· Audit various activities conducted by the subcontractors such as field equipment commissioning tests. In so doing, make comments and suggestions, and raise concerns or gaps in work being undertaken.· Where concerns or gaps are identified, work with subcontractors to identify strategies and/or architect solutions to resolve.· Assist with writing portions of various project management plans related to schedule, risk, quality, logistics, etc.· This position reports to the Technical Manager.Qualifications: Individuals in this position will need to have experience that includes:· Experience of 3-5 years in systems engineering involved with system design, installation, test, and commissioning in field settings.· Specific experience with traffic management systems, traffic control devices, CCTV, messaging signs and/or installation of traffic management devices and controls.· Understanding of the process and activities associated with civil construction work related to installation of similar systems will be beneficial.· Experience using automated tools such as the Rational suite for documenting, tracing, and managing requirements of a program.· Ability to work from a primary office in Saudi Arabia and travel approximately 25-50% of the time to field locations in Saudi Arabia and to subcontractors’ factories in various cities in Europe.· Strong personal integrity and commitment to ethical behavior.ACS is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not Discriminate against any applicant on the basis of race, color, religion/creed, national origin, gender, or sex, marital status, age, disability, use of a guide dog or service animal, sexual orientation, military/veteran status, or any other status protected by Federal or State law or local ordinance.
