Sales Representative

 

An established heavy-equipment company is in need of an energetic, enthusiastic, mechanically minded Sales Representative for eastern Missouri.

 

About Us

Our Company has been offering high quality street, sewer, refuse and recycling equipment to the municipal and contractor market since 1962. We have two facilities located in the Kansas City and St. Louis area, along with experienced on-call mobile service technicians and a fleet of fully stocked service vehicles.

 

Responsibilities

· Identify prospective customers by using business directories, sales leads from manufacturers and existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows

· Monitor market conditions and competitors’ products, prices and sales tactics

· Provide customers with business solutions product via presentations, samples, brochures, demonstrations, and other territory successes

· Answering customer’s questions about products, manufacturing capabilities, prices, availability, product applications and territory trends 

· Recommend products to customers, based on customers’ needs and interests

· Estimate or quote prices, budgets, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.

· Arrange and direct delivery and installation of products and equipment

· Consult with clients after sales in order to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support

· Complete manufacturer’s training as required.

 

Requirements

  · Good communication skills 

· Mechanical aptitude

· Ability to perform demonstrations and explain the mechanical workings of equipment and / or machinery

· Able to travel 2-3 nights per week (set own schedule)

· Good computer skills in: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

· CDL class B drivers’ license or clean driving record with ability to obtain CDL license within 60-days

· Approved applicants will be required to take a personality profile test

· Normal workweek is Monday through Friday, some weekends and evenings will be required

 

 

Compensation

· Bi-weekly salary plus commissions with no cap on potential earnings

· Vehicle and fuel provided

· Paid holidays, 10 days vacation after 1-year employment
