Systems Auditor

Job Description:The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking a Staff Systems Auditor in our Worcester, MA office.Responsibilities: Responsible for conducting certain aspects of system audits and audit projects across all functional areas of the Company under the direction of a senior auditor or audit manager. Under the direction of an intermediate auditor, senior auditor or audit manager, the staff systems auditor will execute the following: Evaluate and test data processing systems and operating processes. Evaluate the effectiveness of security measures. Perform audit procedures as outlined in an audit program, including control and compliance testing and documentation of work papers. Provide management with an evaluation of the adequacy of system controls and make recommendations for improvement. Draft audit reports and other documentation. Assess the adequacy of proposed controls for new systems.Requirements: 2 – 5 years of experience with at least 2 in an audit role Bachelor’s Degree in MIS/Computer Science or Finance/Accounting preferred or equivalent work experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Strong analytic skills and an inquisitive personality. Ability to interact and coordinate with all levels of management. Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ACL and/or other computer-assisted audit software. Acquire and utilize auditing methods and concepts. Able to learn new computer systems and technologies rapidly Effectively communicate observations and conclusions.
