If you enjoy working in a dynamic and challenging environment then read on!This position is for the world’s largest software company, headquartered in Redmond, Washington.Position Description – The Interoperability team is looking for a developer to help the technical and marketing teams. The candidate will help with technical investigation and/or Proof Of Concepts projects to test our applications and other vendors’ apps. The candidate will be required to write code not extensively but he/she needs to be familiar (or able to get up to speed very quickly) with a wide range of technologies and programming environments: Visual Studio, Eclipse, languages such as C# and Java, Python, PHP or Ruby. Investigation will also include setting up complex environments involving multiple machines, OSs and applications. The candidate needs to be familiar with installing and setting up Windows and Linux OSs and learn quickly how to setup complex applications such as Portals, System/Operation Management or Identity Management systems . The candidate will also be responsible to build packages that include demos and other material that will be collected at Interoperability labs with various vendors. This requires familiarity with setup technologies such as Visual Studio and InstallShield. The candidate will work closely with Technical writers that will produce collaterals related to demos and lab projects. Small percentage of the time will be used to help configuring and maintaining the demo environment: keep the repository of VPCs up to date, configure machines, work with lab technicians to implement changes and or new features that might be required to host an interoperability lab or enable fields/evangelism teams to access demos in the Interoperability lab. Candidate needs to be a self-starter, well-organized and be able to manage projects with minimal supervision. Develops software programs of a complex nature, including operating systems, applications, and/or network products for external customer use. Designs and performs analysis on moderately complex programs and systems. Contributes to the development of processes and methodology. Assists in the development of assignments and schedules. -Qualifications – 2 plus years work related experience required. Relevant technical skill required. Strong communication skills required. Required skills would be Installshield, development experience on Windows and Linux/Unix systems, C# as well as other languages Ruby, PERL, PHP. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field required. Master's degree is preferred and may substitute for a portion of the related experience.Please reference the position number when applying. These positions are in Redmond, Washington.
