System Architect

Job Description:Description:The individual will be leading a multi-contractor team environment and be responsible for architecting solutions which include software, hardware, and network components.Acts as the subject matter expert for an enterprise and serves as the system architecture authority within that scope. Provides input to solution development.Defines highly complex technology-based business solutions. Provides thought leadership regarding system design, architecture, and integration. Mentors and leads project teams in the appropriate use of technology.Reviews and approves high risk design decisions prior to implementation.Defines IT solution and strategy, technology innovation and enterprise architecture services.Leads system design activities or reviews system designs to ensure that applications solutions will exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment.Leads technology and product general assessments, detailed evaluations, and final selections. Educates and provides technical advice to management and client.Leads system performance diagnosis and scalability assessment activities. Coordinates and manages activities of multiple hardware and software vendors on large project engagement.Leads the preparation of IT solution and strategy work products, technology and product analysis, white papers, and responses to management queries on technology and product related topics.Leads development of system solutions for proposals and creates strategies to win business in new markets or current accounts.Demonstrate proficiency in applying systems development life-cycle methodology in design and engineering and integrating Commercial-off-the-shelf technology with legacy and new systems to create Enterprise solutions.Ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with established Enterprise Architecture framework.Represents company in technology discussions with clients; ensures client satisfaction.Ajilon Consulting has over 35 years of experience with people just like you. Job Experience:**PREFER LOCAL CANDIDATES**Position based in St. Louis, MONo Sub-Contractor or 1099 need to applyBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technologies Twelve or more years of system architecture experience Experience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems, hardware and software Experience working with industry and company developed technology (Catalyst and/or equivalent client or vendor-mandated methodology) Other Qualifications:Strong communication skills Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with the most executive levels of internal staff, management and clients Strong analytical and problem solving skills Strong leadership skills Strong project management skills Ability to lead and/or influence multiple teams Ability to set technical direction for an enterprise Ability to quickly adapt to new projects and multiple accounts as needed Ability to identify how information technology can enable the achievement of business objectives
