Position Description; Are you the kind of individual who likes being hands on with some of the latest and greatest multimedia hardware? Are you a motivated individual capable of dealing independently with rapidly changing requirements? Do you have excellent technical skills? The Media Center Team is looking for someone to help support hardware configurations and systems for the our Beta and Takehome programs. You will be responsible for machine specification, configuration, inventory, and support. This includes day to day requests for machine configuration, troubleshooting, and general tier 1 support. It will require excellent communication skills and support across a broad team of engineers. Coordination of physical lab facilities and management towards an efficient lab and machine utilization is also required. Qualifications - Strong organizational and communication skills are required to drive these projects with limited supervisory intervention. The ability to properly prioritize tasks within a fast paced work environment and be able to effectively track service calls throughout the day manually or via an automated system is a must. The lab engineer must exhibit superior troubleshooting skills across a broad range of products Moving and lifting of hardware over 50 lbs and the ability to be on call during critical product release times may be required. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year experience in hardware support, proven problem solving skills, as well as good communication skills. Working knowledge of the entire Windows OS family is a must. You must be capable of working independently and cooperatively, while innovating in a highly dynamic environment.
