We are currently recruiting for the following position:

Study Director - Drug Discovery - Immunology

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the overall planning and conduct of non-clinical investigations, in accordance with applicable regulatory guidelines and contemporary scientific practice.  It primarily concentrates on internal and external communications, scientific expertise, regulatory compliance, and other essential functions, such as business development with a focus on customer service.  The ultimate goal of this position is to operate effectively within the essential functions of the role, particularly with respect to client communication and scientific expertise, while developing and maintaining a viable client base.

It will have four main areas of focus:

Study Management:  Perform as a Study Director in the conduct of study performance as described under GLP standards.

Scientific Expertise and Regulatory Compliance:  Interpret, evaluate, report and provide peer reviews; develop protocols, keeping current with advances in field of expertise; and ensure the conduct of preclinical investigations, in accordance with applicable regulatory guidelines and contemporary scientific practice.

Communications:  Communicate both internally and externally in writing and verbally, consult and negotiate with any customers.

Business Development:  Consult and advise Sponsors on the pricing and scheduling of studies; maintain market and business development with potential and future clients with a focus on customer service; establish on-going, repeat business with an ever-increasing number of clients.

Qualifications:

Individual must have a PhD in Immunology or closely related field and 0-4 years relevant experience or BS / MS in Immunology or closely related field and 3 years as Associate Study Director.  Experience will be considered between management and candidate.  Additional factors for consideration include but are not limited to:  publications/presentations; continuing education credits; professional society memberships/positions (i.e., committees, education boards, etc.); certifications; showing good scientific judgment and participation in company (internal) development projects.  Basic computer skills are required.

Additionally, having the ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended shifts and/or extra shifts, sometimes on short notice; and having the ability to work under specific time constraints is expected.
