Start Up Distribution Center Operations Manager

Experience: The qualified candidate will have a successful track record in running a shift in a store support distribution environment. This person should be comfortable managing a group of at least 5 department supervisors and 100 team members as they will be responsible for more. The successful candidate is preferred to be bachelor’s degree educated and have a minimum of 3 years experience in operations management. The successful candidate must also be open to promotion and relocation in the near future; the client company has been, and is currently growing at a 20% rate, and is hiring with the specific intention of promoting this person to a start up/back-fill location. Description: The hired applicant will be responsible for managing production in a 500K Sq Ft facility running their respective shift in a non-union environment. They will be responsible for creating a self-motivated, self-empowered work environment, where people enjoy coming in every day. At the same time, the successful candidate will be able to take direction from the General Manager and run in the intended direction without being micro-managed.
