Summary:
The Linens ’n Things Supply Chain Group is responsible for building the processes which enable the smooth flow of merchandise from vendor to guest while minimizing expenses.
This role is crucial to the development and implementation of sustainable supply chain improvements that will enable optimal performance and flawless execution. This position will be a core part of the thought leadership team providing key strategic direction and tactical guidance in opportunity identification and capture.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support of Import vs. Domestic decision processInbound/Outbound Transportation OptimizationSupport of key merchandising initiativesProduct Movement Cycle Time Reduction and Store ReceivingSystems Development and TestingCreating and managing monthly DC/Vendor Chargebacks to Supply Chain GroupWork with Vendors on Chargeback dispute mattersEnhance vendor relationships by communicating our processes and proceduresDevelop detailed analyses as requested
Qualifications:
Strong oral/written communication and presentation skillsAdvanced knowledge of business applications (Excel, Access)Database design and understandingStrong business analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks or assignments while working independentlyBachelor’s Degree Required (Logistics or related degree)Minimum of 2 years experience in retail/logistics environment Retail, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or Distribution Center Operations experience required
