Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Sr Process Development Engineer (PD) - 26520 Job Description:Position Title: Senior Process Development Engineer (R&D)Reporting to: Process Development ManagerJob Purpose:Provide scientific understanding and technical engineering skills to develop and implement capable manufacturing processes for the development of new products. Ability to coach, lead and enhance the productivity of the process development team. Build collaborative cross functional relationships through strong teamwork across the organization.Key Responsibilities: Assesses process capabilities, prioritizes process improvement opportunities, and innovates and implements process improvements on multiple and moderately complex processes. Understanding long term implications of technology and steer process development strategies to incorporate novel ideas ensuring strategic competitive advantage and world class manufacturing Utilise laser and bonding technologies for development of manufacturing processes to assist new product design Provides Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to the engineering print package. Contributes ideas to or generates Intellectual Property submissions. Applies technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, tooling and/or automation. Executes the functional deliverables associated with the PDP/TDP, Project Management, and Quality Systems. Prepares and presents technical data and recommendations at technical reviews. Writes validation protocols and reports applicable to new processes. Oversees development builds associated with the project using special work requests.Qualifications: Primary Degree in Mechanical, Polymers, Chemical, Materials or Biomedical Engineering. A Masters degree is also preferable but not required. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Strong technical capabilities and project management capability to develop aspects of assigned projects on time and within budget.
