Sr. Manager of Application Development (2 openings)

 

We are looking for two (2) Senior Managers to head up large Enterprise Application Development teams. The applications will be global / large scale supporting over 50,000 users world wide. The primary technologies being utilized is MS.Net/C# however strong candidates coming from the Java/Unix world will also be considered. The right candidate(s) for this role will have experience managing large development teams (upwards of 50 – 75+) and should have prior experience working as a developer/architect. Management Consulting / Big 4 experience is a big plus.

Requirements:7+ years managing Applications Development teamsMust have full SDLC experience - from inception to production support of the productStrategic planning and development, project management and policy development.Must have experience controlling/managing large budgets ($25 million + preferred) and ensure they comply with stated goals, guidelines, and objectives.Exceptional leadership skills. Able to manage large development teams (upwards of 75+) in a matrix environmentAbility to conduct and direct business planning and concepts into technology plans and products.Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail. Must be well spoken, capable of facing off with all levels of management/business sponsors Manage and lead the development of applications as well as integration and support for commercial off- the-shelf software applications.Develop, implement and support best practice methods for: 1) Software development and deployment 2) Software package implementation 3) Application supportAbility to work with Enterprise Architecture, Quality & Risk Management, and other Information Technology teams to ensure development practice is consistent with established SDLC practices. Authorize and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development and support of all enterprise software applications Oversee negotiation and administration of vendors, outsource, and consultant contracts. Develop requirements for, manage and service level agreements with large consulting and service organizations.University degree in the field of computer science or information systems (MBA or Technical Masters degree preferred)
