Sr. Director/VP, Nick Consumer Products Finance

- Directly oversee NVCP Finance

-  Responsible for annual budget and quarterly forecasts, including setting and meeting deadlines, meeting with the line of business (LOB) heads to gather and share information, variance reporting, identifying risks and opportunities, ensuring that all data is properly loaded into the financial systems, and communicating all information to the relevant parties

-  Responsible for P&L and monthly close process – supervise monthly close process, review journal entries made by staff, compare the preliminary P&L to the latest estimate to ensure that all necessary accruals/deferrals have been made, review balance sheet entries to ensure deferred and AR are correct. Analyze and track actuals vs. estimates and research variances. Communicate findings to upper management as necessary

-  Responsible for long range strategic planning

- Supervise staff of 3. Identify strengths and weaknesses and outline action steps for improvement of job performance, including company sponsored and outside training opportunities

- Work with Paramount financial planning and Nick CP to project DVD revenues and expenses and analyze Paramount reporting

- Ad hoc reporting as necessary to support the LOBs and Business Development

- Liaise with General Accounting to ensure that the business is in compliance with SOX, GAAP and standard company practices. Manage requests from PwC and E&Y for SOX testing and compliance

- Work closely with participations finance and General Accounting to ensure third party obligations are accurately accrued and reported

- Work with Viacom Internal Audit and outside audit firms to audit our licensing partners as necessary

- Oversee A/P functions for LOB

- Strong written and oral communication skills

- Detail-oriented with ability to see big picture and work on diverse projects with many stakeholders

- Proactive mindset with ability to provide creative solutions to complex problems

- Strong time management and organizational skills

- Ability to understand and use various business software applications

- Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments at once

- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint

- 8-10 years experience in finance and accounting

- CPA/MBA strongly preferred
