Are you a Software Engineer who is well versed in SUN Server/IBM SAN Administration? Do you enjoy working in a team environment? Can you work under pressure? Are you looking for a job that will challenge you daily?
We are looking for several Software Engineers to help provide their expertise in a wide variety of systems. The candidate assigned shall possess the ability to provide support in a friendly, personable manner and must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Candidate must have a minimum of 5 - 7 years of related engineering or software analysis experience with at least two of those years in information technology, network architectures, design and/or implementation of hardware or software systems required.
Applicants are required to have at least a Bachelors degree, but a graduate degree is preferred in engineering, software, technical or scientific field. Specialized training or four (4) years additional experience may be substituted for a degree.
Candidates will be responsible for design of complex information technology systems with emphasis on integration and detailed design. The main purpose of this position is to provide onsite expertise to maintain and support Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) applications for the shipyard user community utilizing multiple levels of onsite support. This support shall include user support and system support in our current PNS, Navy, Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) and like environments.
The Contractor shall provide background, expertise, and experience in planning, ordering, designing, installing, configuring, repairing, recovering, system monitoring, performance tuning, etc. of all hardware/software to support above mentioned systems.
Salary is commensurate upon individual experience.
