Social Worker I or II
Schermerhorn House will house 217 tenants many of whom have a history of mental illness, homelessness, substance abuse and/or HIV/AIDS. The building is located in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. It will be the first CUCS project to open in that borough. Resp: The Social Worker will provide a full range of clinical services to tenants, assist in program planning, development and implementation of evidence based practices with particular emphasis on mental health, chemical dependency and services to people living with HIV/AIDS. Reqs: MSW required, LMSW preferred. Relevant post-masters experience preferred. All candidates must demonstrate excellent outreach, assessment, written and verbal communication skills. Computer literacy. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Salary commensurate with licensure and post-masters experience. Competitive salary and benefits.
