Job Description
Design and implement core driver software for our industry leading line of display wall controllers.
Responsibilities
- Under general supervision and as a contributing member of a cross-functional team, perform applied research, design and development of new software products
- Timely introduction of new software for management of our industry leading line of display wall controllers and multi-screen display stations. Work includes the design and development of the software interface to complex graphics and video processing systems.
- Establish operating capabilities, verify with performance tests, and document designs.
- Provide training to manufacturing, quality, and technical support personnel.
Requirements
- BSEE/CS or equivalent with at least 10 years experience with C/C++ and embedded systems development, with at least 5 years of developing Windows drivers
- Experience in developing a wide variety of device drivers for sophisticated hardware
- In-depth understanding and knowledge of Windows kernel and user mode architectures, Windows GDI, DirectShow and IPC mechanisms.
- Strong problem solving and algorithmic skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Video capture driver experience desired, HD experience preferred.
- Vista WDDM graphics driver experience
- WinDbg kernel debugging
- Deep understanding of multi-threaded programming
- Understanding of PCIe DMA is desired
Skills and Development Background
- Solid understanding of driver development in a multi-threaded environment
- Significant driver development experience for high performance hardware;
- Creation and maintenance of documentation and procedures within an ISO-9001 document control system.
