Matrikon is seeking several Senior Technical Consultants for its various Solutions business units. This consulting position will allow you to draw upon your significant previous industry experience and technical skills as you further develop your client relationship building and project management skills. As a senior member of the services team you will provide leadership to the team while executing on a variety of projects.

 

Responsibility/ Accountability:

 Consulting services on various projects involving the implementation and customization of Matrikon software. Ongoing support and trouble shooting for clients post implementation Required documentation to ensure best practices in project management are being followed in accordance with Matrikon and client guidelines. Process control/optimization project design and implementation Process modeling/simulation Process control audits

Skills & Knowledge Required/ Applied:

 A solid understanding of practical issues in process control and experience implementing and maintaining control applications Experience with industrial control systems such as PLCs, HMIs and DCSs. Programming experience with object oriented and/or other programming languages. Previous experience with relational databases (ie. Oracle) Experience with Data Historians (ie. PI, IP.21) Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time Experience within industry (ie. Oil & Gas, Refining, Pulp & Paper, Mining)

Education/ Experience:5+ years of progressive experience within industry or similar consulting positions BSc in Electrical/Computer/Chemical Engineering; Computer Science; or a related Technical Diploma
