Job SummaryThis is a technical position that will support the design, execution and analysis of non-clinical pharmacokinetic (PK), toxicokinetic (TK) and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) experiments conducted within the Drug Safety and Metabolism Division. The position requires expertise in the area of pharmacokinetics and the software packages commonly used for pharmacokinetic and statistical analysis (e.g. WinNonlin, Excel, etc.). A thorough understanding of GLP regulations is also required.Job Responsibilities*Design and analyze non-clinical PK and TK experiments, including protocol design, data analysis, interpretation of results and writing of the final report.*Assist Bioanalytical R&D and Drug Safety staff members in the interpretation of PK and TK data.*Perform simulations (including allometric scaling) to aid study design and assist in the design, conduct and analysis of specialized (non-traditional) PK or PK/PD experiments.*Assist in the evaluation and validation of new PK software, approaches and techniques.*Participate in the preparation and review of technical reports, regulatory submissions, and manuscripts for publication.Basic Qualifications*Ph.D. in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutics or Pharmacy with 0 to 2 years of related work experience, Master degree with 10 years of pharmacokinetic experience or a Bachelor degree with 12+ years of experience in pharmacokinetics/toxicokinetics.*Knowledge of pharmacokinetic principles and commonly used pharmacokinetic software. Strong background in mathematics and statistics is desirable. Experience in non-compartmental, model-based and PK/PD analysis. Expertise assessing dose-proportionality and bioavailability.
