They will also be the departmental representatives on Clinical Project Teams to provide strategic inputs for drug development plans. In some cases, they will contribute as part of a team working on data analysis and reporting for additional secondary projects. An interest and desire to develop and/or adopt new statistical methodologies is expected.Job Responsibilities*Leading statistical work within one or more major projects.*Demonstrate strong interest in statistical research activities by presenting of novel methods on clinical trial development at Wyeth Biostatistical research meetings and at national meetings.*Biostatistical input in cross functional project activities such as staff training programs, working procedures, and various Clinical Operations and Clinical Research and Development initiatives designed to improve efficiency and productivity.*Technical supervision of junior statisticians and/or programmers.*Ensure timeliness and quality of statistical and programming deliverables according to project plans for assigned studies and projects.*Attend CRC meetings as Statistical Discussant.Basic Qualifications*Masters Degree. Preferably with a Biostatistics/Statistics major.*At least 9 years of relevant work experience with a Masters Degree or at least 5 years with a Doctorate Degree. A substantial piece of relevant experience must be post baccalaureate clinical trial biostatistic work experience.*A thorough knowledge of the theory and techniques of applied statistical methods such as, Experimental Designs, ANOVA, Linear Models, non-parametric, regression, correlation analysis, categorical data analysis, survival analysis is preferred.*Programming skill in SAS is strongly preferred.*Authoring of publications on statistical methods in clinical development is preferred.If you are not viewing this from our career web site, go to https://wyeth.recruitmax.com/main/careerportal/login.cfm, click on the ''Job Search'' tab, use Keywords: ''21117'' for a search, click on the ''Job Title'' link and then ''Apply To This Job'' at the end of the page.
