Senior Media Designer and Developer
Job Description:Position Overview/Summary: The Senior Media Designer/Developer is responsible for crafting and developing learning materials for the Hanover. Using solid development skills leveraging state of the art training media and multi-purpose online reference materials, this individual is responsible to set the Enterprise standards and development protocol for the Enterprise. Partnering with stakeholder, assessing and uncovering end user learning style this professional will seamlessly blend a strategic vision with innovative, bleeding edge deliverables and create a continuous improvement mechanism to monitor adoption and awareness of the learning solution. This role requires a high degree of technical competency using PC Windows and WEB based learning modalities. Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Manage multiple training design projects Create blended learning solutions including synchronous, asynchronous design that meets business requirements and adheres to instructional design standards. Conduct ongoing customer needs assessments using automated or crafted surveys, personal interview techniques, and course evaluations. Recognize gaps between the desired performance and what can be achieved by formal training and information design. Monitor quality control to assure that effective and innovative alternative learning methods are meeting the customer’s needs. Develop and write measurable action-oriented objectives. Apply adult learning principles in design decisions. Develop evaluation tools to measure course effectiveness. Develop a scope document and a project plan using best practices and identifying key sign-off points. Create prototype-training/instructional/reference documents using standard protocols. Design and develop script/storyboard/wireframe using multi-media and interactive designs which assure course content integrity Plan, coordinate and conduct alpha and beta testing activities Work with appropriate subject matter experts for course delivery whenever appropriate Partner with training professionals to mentor subject matter experts who are part of the training delivery team Consult with customers to recommend alternative design and delivery training solutions Maintain a schedule for the revision of training materials and delivery media Manage internal and external vendor resources. Apply principles of information design and architecture to organize information and information flow Can work productively and successfully under deadline Work effectively with key HR constituents in order to identify, design, and deliver relevant, processes, systems, programs, data, and assistance to clients. Proactively determine client needs, and link them to their business goals May train less experienced employees in technical complexities of assigned work, coaching and mentoring others in work Reviews progress with management. May be assigned to one or more larger projects and be accountable for reporting on project status.Required Experience: 8+ year’s professional experience and Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. A high degree of technical competency using PC Windows and WEB based learning modalities is required. Extensive elearning design and development background. Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of building innovative learning solutions leveraging technology and blended training approaches Oversee end user experience and evaluates results. Ability to foster and develop strong cross functional networks and relationships to ensure a comprehensive deliverable is achieved Exhibits behaviors reflective of a consulting model and demonstrates effectiveness working in a "matrix" organization. Ability to work within and meet strict deadlines.
