Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Senior Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer Job Description:Primary Function: Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining methods/documentation, operation sequence and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Interfaces with development engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Estimates manufacturing cost, makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. As required, maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations. Duties: Support and sustain the existing implantable and external production processes and operations. Evaluate/develop product/process designs and implement/transfer production methods, tooling, testing for emerging new products. Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Strong team oriented professional with good interpersonal skills, project management experience and thorough detail orientation. Good working knowledge of medical device manufacturing requirements and FDA/ISO compliance guidelines. Experience: Experience in product production planning and working knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures and cost reduction/yield improvement techniques. Education and Training: Requires a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
