Brookfield Renewable Power, Inc. is looking for a Senior Manager – Procurement, to join its Finance team in its Marlborough, Massachusetts U.S. headquarters.

Overall Description of the Role

 

This position presents an opportunity to participate in a growth oriented organization and to gain exposure and understanding of the energy industry.

Reporting to the CFO, the incumbent will have the following responsibilities:

· The supervision of purchasing department personnel.

· Establishes practices and procedures to be followed by Buyers and other department personnel.

· Selects vendors, assesses vendor capabilities, develops alternate sources, evaluates vendor performance, and negotiates price and delivery.

· Recommends major purchases of materials based on anticipated changes in prices or in unusual availability situations.

· Makes certain that purchasing documents are properly completed and the terms and conditions of purchases are appropriate.

· Assures that department records are maintained and that purchases are followed up or expedited when required. Department records include price histories to provide information on price variances.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Manager also undertakes specifically assigned projects relating to procurements and provides summaries, reports, and recommendations on these subjects.

 

Candidate Profile – Requirements

· Skills and knowledge required by this position would generally be acquired with a four-year college degree with an emphasis on business subjects followed by seven or more years of successful experience in related, subordinate positions.

· Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills required.
