Senior Manager Marketing Services - Material Handling, Bearings and Power Transmission

Position Summary

This position is responsible for marketing services related to Material Handling, Bearing and Power Transmission products in order to provide Fairmont Supply Company with a competitive advantage through pricing strategies, product training, sales forecasting and strategic planning, resulting in increased sales and profitability of Material Handling, Bearing and Power Transmission products.

 

Target Position Responsibilities

· Provide marketing services related to the sale and technical support to customers and Customer Service Centers in order to meet and exceed profit and sales goals. 

· Develop a specific marketing program for Material Handling, Bearing and Power Transmission products, to include a list of products and services available within the Material Handling, Bearing and Power Transmission product line, training programs associated with our line of Material Handling, Bearing and Power Transmission products, pricing strategies that balance objectives with customer satisfaction and sales forecasting which incorporates a market trend analysis

· Develop a financial analysis of products with the Material Handling, Bearing and Power Transmission product line to include sales forecasting, inventory turns, cost trends and pricing strategies.

· Develop and report competitor’s sales activities.  Maintain a working knowledge of applicable state and federal laws that apply to Material Handling, Bearing and Power Transmission products.

· Communicate to sales, purchasing and materials management personnel regarding price changes and additions of new  products.

· Participate in industry association trade shows and conventions and select products and accessories to be displayed.

· Visit customers to ensure products are meeting the customer’s expectations and solicit potential markets for sale of additional products or services.

· Assist with marketing activities and procedures to promote Material Handling, Bearing and Power Transmission products and services.

· Identify, develop and evaluate marketing strategy and initiate market research and analyze findings.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

Minimum Requirements

· Requires BS Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent certification program or experience.  Requires advanced manufacturer product training.

· Requires 10 years work experience in a related field.  Knowledge of Material Handling, Bearing and Power Transmission and mining compliance and regulation requirements regarding related products is required. 

· Understanding of Material Handling, Bearing and Power Transmission and/or Material Handling, Bearing and Power Transmission related products and customer requirements.

· Demonstrated ability and experience managing employees, preferably in sales related functions.

· Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to negotiate, persuade, sell, and resolve conflicts.
